Hello and welcome to the August edition of the group magazine.
As the sun begins to set on another summer, we’re here to shine a light on some of the stories happening across the group.
In this issue, we’re focusing on the group’s vision: we believe in life without barriers.
The full vision states: ‘If everyone expects more they can achieve more and we can transform lives together. It is this power of ‘more’ that will let people realise what is possible – change perceptions, raise aspirations and create inclusive, vibrant communities.’
The work that you do on a day-to-day basis has a direct and positive effect on achieving our vision, so it’s important to ensure that there’s a record of any improvements we make.
To that end, in this issue we’re revisiting the topic of ‘added value’ and looking at how you can help show where it’s been achieved with the help of your local champion.
We also have videos showing how colleagues are embodying a ‘life without barriers’ by spending time shadowing other teams.
We’ll be telling you how one colleague is truly helping to transform lives in his spare time by volunteering for a homeless charity.
And we’ve also got stories about changing perceptions and raising aspirations, with an update on the group’s new build scheme and a video about the benefits that you now receive following the implementation of the modern offer.
If you have a story to share or an idea that you’d like to discuss, drop us a line at email@example.com
